I’ve known Ethan Obbema since he was a little kid (which makes me sound super old …) but I mention this because it’s been so cool to watch him grow from a little guy who liked to play with his dad’s guitars into a very talented musician with a bright future ahead. We had such a great time hanging out with Ethan for his senior session in Tempe. And, yeah, he’s still playing with his dad’s guitar but he’s pretty amazing with it.
After we did all the formal(ish) posey stuff, Ethan asked if we could take a photo with him getting splashed with a bucket of water in the face. Why, yes! We can totally do that! It does actually get cold in Arizona, and this was a chilly January day, so we really had to do this fast. We had to do a couple of takes because the natural inclination when one gets a bucket of cold water in the face is to blink (who knew?) but we nailed it at the end! While Ethan was completely frozen, I think it was worth it! I hope he thinks so, anyway.
Thanks Ethan for being so very cool (and a little bit cold). We had such a great time with you, and we’re so honored to be a part of celebrating your many accomplishments.
